Guarantees, refunds and cancellation
How our guarantees work
This page lists every guarantee Membership Gap offers, with its conditions, together with our refund and cancellation rules. A promise that is not on this page or in your order confirmation is not a guarantee we make. No guarantee pays you more money than you paid us: a guarantee is honoured as a refund of what you paid, as credit toward our work, or as more work.
Our guarantees
Pay only for paid joins we brought
What we promise: For a Member recruitment campaign there is no fixed fee, no retainer and no minimum per month. You pay only 85% of the first-year dues paid by a firm on our gap list, not in your baseline, that joins within 6 months of our first email to it and, before its join date, replied to one of our emails or opened your join page through our coded link, invoiced only after the dues are paid. Nothing is charged for organic joins, for firms in the baseline or for firms not on our list. With zero results, nothing is owed.
Conditions: You send your member export, your do-not-contact list and, if you want, your pipeline list with your acceptance; together the member export and the pipeline list are the baseline. Your new-member report reaches us by the 10th of each month for the previous month, with each new member's firm, member category, join date, first-year dues paid and date paid. You confirm or mark the lines of each matched list within 15 days; unmarked lines are then confirmed.
What you get: No fee on a line that is in the baseline, has a join date outside the 6-month window, has no reply or coded-link visit before the join date, or whose dues were not received. If a new member's dues are refunded within the first year, the fee on them is credited in full on the next invoice, or refunded by bank transfer within 30 days if no later invoice is due.
Time limit: A join counts only within 6 months of our first email to that firm. We send each matched list within 5 business days of your report, and you mark lines within 15 days. A fee on dues refunded within the first year is corrected whenever you tell us.
How to claim: Mark the line on the matched list, or reply to the invoice or email hello@membershipgap.com, naming the firm and the record that shows it does not qualify: the baseline, the join date, the absence of a reply or coded-link visit, or dues not received or refunded.
Who decides: The records decide, under the order's terms: your association's new-member report, the baseline, our reply threads and the coded-link log. Nothing else is weighed.
Most you can receive: Every fee you paid on lines those records show do not qualify.
Refunds
If you ask for your money back, we first offer to credit what you paid toward a redo or another of our offers. If you still want a refund, we refund what you paid. We make that offer once and do not press it, and a refund is never more than you paid. Refunds go back by the method you paid with.
Cancellation
Member recruitment campaign: either side may cancel by email with 30 days' notice. You cancel by replying CANCEL to any email from us, or by emailing hello@membershipgap.com with the word CANCEL; no reason is needed, and we confirm the cancellation by email. The campaign ends 30 days after the notice, and we send no wave after it ends. Joins attributable to emails sent before the end remain billable within their 6-month window, under the same terms; nothing else is owed. With no attributable paid join, nothing is owed.
Claims and requests
To claim a guarantee, ask for a refund, or cancel, email hello@membershipgap.com or reply to any email from us. We reply by email within 2 business days, and we tell you in writing what we decided and why, naming any condition that was not met.
