Finding non-members is slow research

Knowing which firms in your field are not members means matching your directory against licence rolls, industry directories or exhibitor lists by hand. Meanwhile dues carry much of the revenue. Start with a gap finding

Your free gap finding compares your public member directory with one public list of firms in your field. It shows how many listed firms, by state, do not appear in your directory. It names 25 of them with their public website or contact page, so your membership director can check them against your member database. It is built only from public pages and needs nothing from you.

Some named firms may be members you do not show publicly.
Some named firms may be ineligible under your membership rules; the finding does not say whether any firm is eligible to join or owes anything.

You check the 25 named firms
Check them against your member database. Some may be members you do not show publicly, or ineligible under your rules.
You reply for the order
Reply 'send the order'. We send a written walkthrough of the finding, answer your questions by email, then email the one-page order.
Your executive director accepts by reply
The reply comes from your association's address, with the words the order asks for. You then send your member export, do-not-contact list and join link once.
Monthly waves go out
We email the firms on your gap list each month in the text you approved, and send you a monthly report of who joined.

Price: a share of the dues new members pay

85% of each new member's first-year dues paid, invoiced only after the dues are paid

Only for firms on our gap list, not in the member export or pipeline list you send at acceptance, that join within 6 months of our first email to them.
Before joining, the firm replied to one of our emails or opened your join page through our coded link.
Nothing is charged for organic joins, for firms in the baseline or for firms not on our list. The fee is a share of the dues actually paid, so lower first-year dues mean a lower fee.
No fixed fee, no retainer and no minimum per month; with zero results, nothing is owed.
Invoiced monthly by email for the month's confirmed paid joins; paid by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice.
Cancel by email with 30 days' notice: reply CANCEL to any email from us. Joins from emails sent before the end stay billable within their 6-month window.

FAQ

Do we have to give you access to anything?

Not for the gap finding: it is built only from public pages. If you order, you send your member export, your do-not-contact list and, if you want, your pipeline list once. You approve the email text and FAQ, give us your join link, and schedule a monthly new-member report. We never access your systems.

You are new. Why would we let you email firms in our name?

You see the work first: the gap finding names 25 firms you can check in your own member database. Nothing goes out until you approve the text. You pay only for listed firms that join and pay their dues, under the conditions above, and nothing if no one does.

How do you know a new member came from your emails?

A join counts only when all of these hold. The firm is on our gap list and not in your baseline. It joins within 6 months of our first email to it. Before joining, it replied to one of our emails or opened your join page through our coded link. Your monthly new-member report shows the join; our reply threads and coded-link log show the rest. A listed firm that joins without either is not billed.

What if a named firm is already a member?

Some named firms may be members you do not show publicly, or ineligible under your rules; we do not judge eligibility. If you order, the member export and pipeline list you send are the baseline. We never email them, and they are never billed.

How do billing and cancelling work?

Your new-member report is due by the 10th of each month. We send the matched list within 5 business days, and you confirm or mark lines within 15 days.
